Why is america suppressing its people of the american way of life?

american politicians polices makes it hard for its own kind to live the american dream. over taxation to benefit politicians, look at the unemployment issue,,[ background checks] someone with a common dui and or lack of credit payment thru loosing their job is treated like the plague does not get hired, I understand the reason for major offences, but why minor offences, it does not mean it leads to major ones, people can be rehabilitated. another issue, being afraid of offending anyone, a minority changing the good of the majority,, taking god out of america, it only weakens the foundation of what made america great,, in god we trust, god bless america,etc,etc. they are many issues for to many to continue my point..
