Any advice for someone trying to learn Italian?

you are going to love it here in rome! people will be able to understand you if you can't roll your Rs - just keep on practicing and using your CDs. obviously try to learn as much as you can. a lot of people speak english over here so don't worry about the language barrier. you'll be able to get your point across somehow haha. HAVE FUN!!!
