How do you find the molar m of an unknown metal carbonate using math and a balanced equation?

Find the molar amount of the CaCO3, that is the same amount that you started with. Therefore the only change in m is due to the metal swapping with Ca. Change the difference back into grams and you have the MW of your metal.
