Strange bleeding after ending my period?

I had with my fiance for the first time in two weeks (we were trying to hold off a few months before the wedding so our night would be exciting and special, but thats not going too good so far). It was a little uncomfortable at first and then when we stopped too. Also a little blood but im pretty sure that was because we got a little rough(sorry for the details). Then almost 8 hours later i looked at my under ware and it looks like i have started my period. only it is bright red and i ended my period exactly 7 days ago. im on the pill and have skipped my period for the last two months and had it this last week if that helps. What could it be? maybe breakthrough bleeding, or related to our . i don't want to tell my hubby cause he would get soooo worried and probably rush me too the ER, but it definitely doesn't seem that serious.
