Is this a good book idea?

You know an idea can be cliched a thousand times over but still readers will like it if its well written......so stop fretting over the cliche part......apart from that the orcs, elves.....etc. part sounded a bit Lord Of The Rings to me.....but still if the book is written well....how does it matter!
