Why does my ex GF find stupid reasons to contact me?

We were togethe for 3 years abd broke up 8 months ago. She got a new BF right away and they moved in togther. I stopped talking because I didn't see the point in it. Months later came all the apologies for having hurt me. After that though I stopped talking to her again. So now every once and a while she will text or email me something random that she already knows the answer to or could easily find out on her own. So why does she bother doing this and what does this actually mean???
